Kimberly Franco, DVM
Chief of Staff
No matter what type of hospital you work in, the main focus is always on helping your patients. This is why Dr. Kimberly Franco joined the staff at Creature Comforts Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian; she wanted to be a part of a team that focused on quality patient care for animals!
Dr. Kimberly was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, and developed a love of animals at a young age. Her fondest memories of pets she owned include a puppy named Jasmine, who she bottle-fed as puppy and watched grow into a big, strong, obedient dog. She also owned a black bunny that she was responsible for cleaning up after. These experiences showed her that when animals are loved and cared for, they can turn into the best and most loyal companions. They would also eventually help push her into the exciting world of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Kimberly graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University. Now that she had the academic acumen to match her immense love for animals, she was able to help as many of them as possible.
Performing soft tissue surgery is one of Dr. Kimberly’s favorite parts of her occupation since it’s a unique process that can ultimately help save an animal’s life. She is also fascinated by dentistry as it relates to animals since it can extend a pet’s quality of life.
When she’s got some free time, Dr. Kimberly enjoys going on hikes. Otherwise, you can find her at home hanging out with her fiance (she’s recently engaged) and her 3 beloved dogs – a Rottweiler and 2 chihuahuas. Each one of her pets has its own lovable, unique trait that brings Dr. Kimberly joy!
