LASER THERAPY

Does your pet suffer from chronic pain? Has a recent surgery or injury slowed your normally active companion down?

At Creature Comforts Animal Hospital, we believe that when it comes to caring for your cherished companion, you should have as many choices as possible. That’s why we’re happy to offer laser therapy as part of our comprehensive suite of services. The laser uses painless waves of light to treat areas of the body that are experiencing pain or have suffered trauma. This triggers a natural response without the need for medication or other invasive measures. As a result, your animal family member can enjoy decreased pain, enhanced mobility and shorter recovery periods.

What is veterinary laser therapy?

Laser therapy is a painless, non-invasive form of treatment which stimulates the body’s natural healing and pain control response. It can be used as a standalone therapy or as a complement to other treatment methods. Using a small, handheld device, the doctor applies a low level laser to the area on question, stimulating normal cellular function. This results in faster wound healing and enhanced pain relief. Best of all, because laser therapy requires no medication or surgery, there are no harmful side effects.

What can laser therapy treat?

Laser therapy can be used to address a broad spectrum of conditions, including:

  • Arthritis
  • Disc Disease
  • Hip Dysplasia
  • Degenerative Joint Disease
  • Sprains and Strains
  • Cranial Cruciate Ligament
  • Dental Problems
  • Chronic Pain and Inflammation
  • Dermatological Conditions
  • Lick Granulomas
  • Wounds
  • Ear infections

How many sessions will my pet need?

Because every animal is different, their response to laser therapy is equally unique. Depending on your companion’s specific condition, its severity and a number of other determining factors, treatment strategies will vary. For some patients, positive results can be seen after just one session. Others may require a more long-term strategy to achieve the desired outcome. We will provide you with an individual treatment recommendation once we’ve had the opportunity to evaluate your pet’s situation.

Does your pet suffer from a chronic medical condition, like arthritis? Has a recent injury or surgery negatively impacted your companion’s lifestyle or quality of life? If so, we invite you to reach out today to learn whether the laser therapy services at Creature Comforts Animal Hospital could help.

Everyone here is very nice and helpful and very empathetic and compassionate. Dr Espinoza and Dr Paul are really just very caring and informative and take the time to explain. All the vets are prob as nice, I just have only been with these two with my older dog and now our new, sickly puppy. They offer an affordable wellness plan for the dogs that cover most basic needs. We did end up paying a bit out of pocket for the sick puppy, up and above that, but it was not at all anymore pricey then any vet anywhere else. The place is clean and has most all you’ll need to get you going . The front office staff is super nice . If I had to complain, then the only complaint I would have (& have voiced to them), is that getting them on the phone is hard. The hold time is never under 5 min, and I’ve been on hold sometimes 20 minutes and then disconnected.. either that or having to leave a message with a service and sometimes not getting the follow up. So for that I wish they had a dedicated receptionist cause the staff is always super busy checking in or out animals, (as should be their priority). They are overall one of the best vet offices we’ve gone to and i’m very happy with their level of care. Even after my last sick puppy visit,Dr Paul made a follow up call... that truly made me feel so valued as a client!
